Did you know that you can save money on housing with Hero Home Loans if you are in the military, work in law enforcement, are a first responder, or are a teacher or educator?

We’re a Homes for Heroes® affiliate mortgage specialist, and we’re happy to honor those who serve our communities with reduced lending fees when buying or refinancing a home.

What is Homes for Heroes?

Homes For Heroes, Inc. is a nationwide network of affiliate real estate and mortgage specialists, plus local business specialists, that provide rewards to our nation’s heroes as a way to say “Thank You.”

Hero Home Loans is proud to be part of this program, and we’re committed to giving back to those who give so much to others.

It’s Easy To Get Your Hero Rewards®

You simply enroll, and when you buy or refinance a home with Hero Home Loans, you get rewarded for being a hero. It’s that easy to save money on housing.

Many People Qualify

Heroes come in many forms, which means people from many walks of life can qualify for the Homes for Heroes program.

Who Is Considered a Hero?

Qualifying heroes include, but are not limited to:

  • Active and veteran service members of the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard
  • Current and former law enforcement, firefighters, paramedics, EMTs, and all other first responders
  • Nurses, doctors, and healthcare professionals
  • Teachers, professors, educators, and education administrative staff (pre-K, elementary, secondary, and post-secondary)

If you don’t see your profession on the list, ask us to check for you. Other professions may meet the criteria to be designated a hero under the program.

How Much Can I Save?

When heroes work with Homes for Heroes affiliate real estate, mortgage, and local business specialists, they receive Hero Rewards savings when buying, selling, or refinancing a home; or when making everyday home-related purchases.

San Diego heroes, for example, can save on average $6,580 (all savings amounts are estimated) when working with Hero Home Loans, a Homes for Heroes affiliate mortgage specialist. That’s based on a median home price in San Diego of $840,000.

To get your rewards, you must be a qualified hero and enrolled in the Homes for Heroes program.
